Walking became a popular pastime during lockdown, and we hope some of you who have not been on our walks before will come along and join us.

Our Sunday morning walks start at 10.30, usually on the first Sunday of each month, and are a leisurely three to four miles. We have about 15 to 20 walkers and aim to finish between 12.30 and 1.00pm.

Below are the dates and venues of this year's walks. Further details will follow soon.

If you are interested in attending please let us know  about 7 to 10 days beforehand, using the enquiry form below, and you will be sent details and a booking confirmation.

Clent Hills

We’re heading for the hills for our last walk before Christmas. It’s been some years since we walked the Clent Hills, and with much of the land owned by the National Trust it is a great area for walking. We park at Nimmings Hill car park (B62 0NL), which is free to NT members when you scan your membership card at the machine by the café.  The café should be open from 9 a.m. and is renowned for its sausage or bacon butties. From Hagley follow the A456 back towards Birmingham, and go right at the second roundabout into Hagley Wood Lane. The car park is signed on the right.

Sunday 5 May

Hanbury Hall

Our last walk from Hanbury Hall was 10 years ago, so it’s time we returned for a morning walk in the rolling parkland and hopefully find some bluebells. There is a tea room at Hanbury, and the popular Jinney Ring Craft Centre is close by.

Our popular book of Walks around Packwood House and Baddesley Clinton is on sale in the shops at Packwood House and Baddesley Clinton and also at Waterstone’s in Solihull. On line it can also be purchased through Amazon.

The book has a selection of walks of varying lengths around both properties. The price is £7.50 with all proceeds from sales through the Centre going to our Countryside and Coastline appeal.
